We have been designing and implementing energy efficiency programs for utilities and states for two decades. These have included rebate programs, performance contracting, direct installation, technical assistance and information campaigns across the spectrum of customer classes. We can help you develop energy efficiency programs to incentivize more efficient building construction, HVAC, geothermal heat pumps, industrial process technologies, motors, variable speed drives and lighting. Below is a sample of projects we have conducted.
Missouri Department of Natural Resources. We provided consulting support to pre-qualify and recruit customers into the state’s Best Price Energy Efficiency Program funded with $3M of a Recovery Act award.
Spanish Utility Company. We designed a geothermal heat pump program under subcontract to 360 Energy Group, resulting in the installation of 5,000 geoexchange systems in Spanish hospitals, retirement homes and municipal buildings over five years. The business plan was adopted and we developed a subsequent program implementation guide and marketing plan.
Pennsylvania Sustainable Energy Trust. We provided an independent analysis of an energy efficiency plan submitted to the state PUC. We analyzed the utility’s use of the total resource cost test and the implications of its use in decisions about which programs to fund and which measures would be included in its resource portfolio.
Southern California Edison. Ryn Hamilton served as program director under subcontract to the Geothermal Heat Pump Consortium, with responsibility for implementation of two programs with combined value of two million dollars. One program featured direct incentives for new geothermal systems at schools in low income neighborhoods and the other program targeted the convenience store and service station market.
Connecticut Municipal Electric Cooperative. We participated in the development of a portfolio of cost effective energy efficiency customer programs for CMEEC.
Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. We participated in the early development of the Smart Energy Design Assistance Center that offers programs and training to encourage building owners in Illinois to incorporate meaningful sustainable building goals early in building design process.
